The Opera Theater is a non-administrative institution with legal and financial autonomy, It operates under the supervision of the Ministry of Cultural Affairs. The Opera Theater is located at the City of Culture and it gathers several artistic Poles: The Theater and Scenic Arts Pole, the Music and Opera Pole, the Ballet and Choreographic Arts Pole and the House of Novel. The Opera Theater supervises also the Symphonic Orchestra of the Opera of Tunis, the Ballet of the Opera of Tunis, as well as the Tunisian Symphonic Orchestra, the National Orchestra of Music and the National Troupe of Folkloric ArtsThe Opera Theater is promoting the cultural production through its various technical spaces and trainings. It also ensures artistic residencies and cooperation with the artists and creators. Its mission is also to commercialize the artistic works realized within the framework of the activities of its institutions, the organization of cultural events and artistic festivals in close relation with its activities. In addition to that, the Opera Theater works on supporting the cooperation, exchange and partnership with the various structures and institutions operating in the cultural field on the national and the international level.

The Music and Opera Pole

It is in line with the objectives of the City of Culture that the Music and Opera Pole evolves and defines its founding axes.

The Music and Opera Pole has chosen to base its strategy on key values ​​that define its entire policy and activity, 

The Ballet and Choreographic Arts Pole

The Ballet and Choreographic Arts Pole of the City of Culture works on the organization of artistic and cultural events and projects related to dance and to choreographic arts developed at the City of Culture while working on the promotion of the Tunisian Dance abroad.

The Theater and Scenic Arts Pole

The Theater and Scenic Arts Pole is also a space devoted to dialogues and artistic performances. It also offers creative workshops open to all the professionals, playwrights, actors and directors in theater for the creation of new theatrical works and for training the new rising generations of young artists.
